Custom-tailored waste shield

For example, it can be integrated with conveyor belts and dishes where food waste is poured directly into the mill from the conveyor belt. The food waste is mixed with a small amount of water and flows to a storage tank. It automatically alerts you when it is 80% full. As a sealed unit there is no odour to escape or opportunity for flies or vermin to enter the tank which can be placed wherever it suits the building, providing many storage options. It can stand close to the kitchen, but also in a basement or on the first floor if needed. In the case of new construction there is also the possibility of burying the tank, so that there is a possibility to save using expensive square meters inside.

The biotank is available in different sizes according to the needs of the location and can be adapted to the space and amount of food waste. The tanks are available in standard models down to 2 m³, but there is also the possibility to specially produce a tank that fits perfectly with the surroundings. Our manufacturer collaborates with local leading plastic tank manufacturers when a biotank is to be custom made. So the biotank is available in different sizes according to the needs of the company and can be adapted to the space and amount of food waste.

As the employee never comes into direct contact with the biotank, it is a hygienic alternative to, among other things, composting food waste. The tank is also odorless, as it is either connected to the existing vent or a specially developed biofilter is added that prevents odors.

The tank is cleaned as needed, and it is possible to install sprinklers that make cleaning even easier.

When it is time to empty the tank, a transporter will arrive to pump out the contents. Where there is a new development that there are multiple food outlets in close proximity, it is possible to avoid the use of the tanker and pipe the biomass feedstock directly to a biomass digesting plant and the energy generated straight back to the same buildings. 

Other technologies such as pyrolysis or gasification can replace the biomass plant.
